Most precious gift ~ Chamtrul Rinpoche

The most precious gift that you could ever give to somebody is the Dharma.

The most precious gift that you could ever give to yourself is the practice of it.

NAMO BUDDHAYA NAMO DHARMAYA NAMO SANGHAYA 🌷 OM MUNI MUNI MAHAMUNI SHAKYAMUNIYE SVAHA 🌷

’Wisdom grows in three ways; hearing, meditating and practising.

Hearing
implies cherishing the Dharma that we learn and never get weary of it.

Meditating involves contemplating all things as they are, considering them as transient, causing pain [dualistic misperception], empty of inherent existence and selfless, whereby to develop nisharana (renunciation) and walk towards the wisdom of the Buddha.

Practicing is to be separate from craving [delusion of self-clinging, and to phenomena – as somehow having real inherent existence of there own, instead of emptiness of dependent arisings (as the Buddha realised on awakening to the nature of true reality (Unmistaken View) and taught), and evil thought (negativity/ confused), and gradually enter the way of Enlightenment.’

The three worldly poisons

[of the mistaken perception of the dualistic mind that does not know – its nature as the nature of true reality]

Attachment, anger, and delusion:
These are the three worldly poisons.
The blessed Dharma is without poison;
The Dharma’s truth conquerors poison.

Right view

Right view is the basis of all right thinking, right speech, and right action. And that is why the Buddha began with right view.

Truth inside of you ~ HH Dalai Lama

This is my simple religion:
Truth Inside of You

There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy.
Our own brain, our own heart is our temple;
the philosophy is kindness.

The quintessence of true religion ~ Dalai Lama

It is easy enough to be friendly to one’s friends. But to befriend the one who regards himself [or herself] as your enemy is the quintessence of true religion. […]

Receiving the blessings

Recalling from my heart that death is certain,
Developing true devotion in my being,
And longing for freedom with complete revulsion [of samsara (delusion of duality) and its sufferings],
May I receive the blessings of [… the Guru].
